This will really depend on the individual. The injections themselves feel like a slight pinch, and you may experience slight pressure or a ‘stinging’ sensation as the product is being injected. Depending on the area, your cosmetic injector may apply numbing cream to the area to be treated. Some of the fillers already contain local anaesthetic which also makes the treatment more tolerable.

You must be over 18 to receive a dermal filler treatment. Dermal fillers should not be used in or near areas where there is or has been skin disease, inflammation or skin related problems. Dermal fillers have not been tested in pregnant or breast-feeding women, individuals with medical conditions that lower the body’s immune response or individuals undergoing therapy that is immunosuppressive may be more prone to infection by a skin injection procedure. During your pre-treatment consultation, you should thoroughly discuss your medical history with your treating nurse or doctor.

The doctor or nurse will remove any makeup and wash the areas that you will have injected. You will then have a local anaesthetic cream applied to the neck so that you won’t feel any discomfort during the procedure. The doctor or nurse will then do a series of injections into the area using our bespoke technique which will keep the neck looking very natural. You will then be explained the aftercare.

Your neck filler appointment will take about a 45 minutes from start to finish. As soon as the series of injections is completed, you can go back to your regular activities. Your practitioner will ask you to refrain from wearing makeup, drinking alcohol and exercise for 24 hours.

Your provider will numb the area with anaesthetic gel prior to injecting. The Juvederm lip filler used will also contain lidocaine which will numb your neck simultaneously while being injected.

Side effects are minimal and typically relate to the local injection. Soreness, swelling or mild bruising, may occur on or around the injection site. In rare instances more serious complications may occur such as an occlusion which is why it is important to only see a trained medical professional who can dissolve the filler immediately.

You should start to see a visible improvement immediately. Minor swelling and bruising may take 1-2 weeks to completely resolve.

When administered with quality products such as Juvederm, the effects of your Dermal Filler treatment can last up to 24 months. If you do not continue treatments, your lips will go back to their original form and size.
