What is HIFU Classys Ultraformer III?

Ultraformer III from Classys is a non-invasive device that uses ultrasound energy for skin-tightening and contour without the need for surgery. The procedure can be carried out on the face and body to provide rapid, long-term tightening of the skin. Ultraformer III is a Medical CE Marked HIFU device. HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound) is a generic name used by multiple devices and brands.

Instead of conventional surgical procedures – the Ultraformer III deploys ultrasound MMFU (mirco macro focused ultrasound) technology, applying high-intensity focused ultrasound at temperatures of 65-75°C. This causes micro-coagulation and subcutaneous fat micro-reduction at a range of treatment depths to be chosen by the practitioner. HIFU uses focused ultrasound energy to target the layers of skin just below the surface. The ultrasound energy causes the tissue to heat up rapidly.

Once the cells in the targeted area reach a certain temperature, they experience cellular damage. While this may seem counterintuitive, the damage actually stimulates the cells to produce more collagen — a protein that provides structure to the skin. The increase in collagen results in tighter, firmer skin with fewer wrinkles. HIFU-powered transducers deliver concentrated waves of ultrasound into multiple layers of skin and body tissues without making direct contact with surrounding areas.
